Yes, always hold support beams when you are walking through staircase. If staircase is wider, just walk any of the sides and hold by one hand.

Don’t run in between because when you slip there would be nothing you can catch immediately.

 

One more thing, Don’t ever ever put your hands in your pockets while walking through the staircase because you won’t be able to pull them out immediately when you fall.
