“must-do/ at least try once” things in life for entertainment!

It’s something like a bucket-list, so things you should do or at-least try once in a life time.
  • Laughing so hard that it hurts
  • Climbing/Trekking to the top of something can be quite a surreal experience. Recently I have gone for trekking, and one word it’s awesome. It brings out an almost primal sensation, like living in the present and the past at the same moment. Looking out past the horizon and knowing that you can climb no higher, because you have reached the summit. Perhaps it's the finality of it. We are always trying to change everything around us, or trying to improve something and make it better. At the top of the summit, there can be no more improvement. There is only life, and the long somber trek back to the bottom.
  • Standing in a wide open space at night, like a field or something, just looking up into the star-speckled sky and really feeling how small we are in the vastness of it all. I grew up in Pune where every thing is busy, so the first time this happened was amazing. Unbelievable. I finally understood what people meant when they said they could see the Milky Way with their naked eye :)
  • Skydiving….Never done this, but wanna try, after watching the movie ZNMD.
There are several actual experiences associated with skydiving that cannot be easily recreated:
  1. Simply looking out the door of the plane is very unnerving and mustering the courage to jump out is thrilling. That adrenaline rush
  2. Falling in the air for many seconds and everything you see is only subtly different from the moments before.
  3. I've never been in this kind of environment, but I guess it feels so peaceful and serene as being several hundred feet above the ground once the chute is out and working.
  • A romantic relationship. Opens up new feelings and sensations in you. I am of the opinion that everyone needs one real failed relationship too. A Heartbreak. It'll either be painful way for you to grow better as a person. Or it'll turn you into an angry bitter monster if you're not careful.. Can confirm, am angry and bitter but not yet a monster.......not yet. It adds to the life lesson.
  • Traveling alone. Just once. Even for just a few days. Do it alone. Revel in it. or A really long train ride through the countryside. Long enough to read most of a book on, sleep overnight on, meet interesting people on. I have great memories of doing this throughout my life. Have experienced it when I was traveling from Bangalore to Delhi.
  • Deep fried ice cream.. shape hard ice-cream into spheres, freeze, roll in crushed cornflakes for example, re-freeze, drop into hot oil and deep fry for about 30 seconds. drizzle with honey, cinnamon, chocolate sauce, raspberry sauce, whatever. bananas foster deep fried ice-cream sounds fun.
  • An airplane lifting off the ground. It's magical in an unexplainable way.
These are the few things I personally think everyone should experience.
And yeah, Everyone should have a point in their life where they have it all, where they are happy without complaint, they see success after success and they have their dreams filled and are satisfied.
But every person should also have a point in their life where its the exact opposite. Where life pummels them into the ground with loss, pain and regret. Where everything they do goes wrong and failure permeates every venture to the point of near depression.
It puts life in perspective, on both accounts. Being at the bottom lets you appreciate the key things in life and also teaches you strength and resolve. It gives you the satisfaction of prevailing through all life had to through at you. Being at the top gives you an idea of the glory and beauty of life. It shows you just how blessed you can be and lets you apply that resolve into actual success and lets you know your potential. Within both those experiences you find balance in life and in yourself.
