The art of asking questions

Let me share my take on this as I am currently working on the art of expressing and asking questions.

If I have scheduled a meeting or a class and I am aware of the topic and content, I need to do some research and mentally prepare myself to be involved in it and understand the topic's core. Decide beforehand that you will ask questions during a particular session, meeting, or class. This mental commitment helps prime your brain to be more attentive and curious.

Taking notes in pointers while listening is one of the best practices to be involved and aware of what's going on in the session. This makes it a lot easier to come up with genuine questions and gives you the confidence to ask more and understand more.

During the session or while you discuss, ask yourself honestly if you have understood it do not try to guess the conclusion with this or that kind of thought.

Research from educational psychology suggests that active engagement with the session and people, and intentional focus can improve cognitive functions, including question formulation and asking it confidently.

If you have convinced yourself that if you do not know something you just don't know it but you will learn and know more about it, if it's damn important for you. If you are clear with this you will ask questions confidently and you will learn more, than 90% of the people sitting around you.

I hope this helps.
